About

An ardent technologist, Alex works alongside passionate entrepreneurs to build companies that can change the world. He has been developing and launching new-to-the-world products for more than 14 years, as an investor, entrepreneur, and product developer. As an investor, he is inspired by the journey from idea to product to thriving business, and helping companies forge their paths to success. As a Director, he has been fortunate to work closely with – and learn from – the founders of The Climate Corporation (formerly Weatherbill), Solum, Pellion, Skybox Imaging, Reluceo, MyLikes, and several other efforts still in stealth.

Prior to joining NEA, Alex was a Partner at Khosla Ventures in Menlo Park, CA, where he focused on clean, information and consumer internet technology investments. He served as a product management executive at Google, where he led key consumer initiatives and the company’s large advertiser ad platform team, resulting in the $3.1B Doubleclick acquisition. Alex also served as Co-Founder and CEO of Ocular Technologies, a cleantech company focused on increasing air cooling system efficiency. He began his career at Procter & Gamble, holding several product and brand management positions.

Alex earned his MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, and holds a bachelor's degree with honors in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University. He is bi-coastal and believes that innovation can flourish anywhere, not just in Silicon Valley.
